Wednesday, 10 October 2012

Today we used a editing program called final cut pro to edit the shots of a film. We learned how to use the main features of final cut pro, this has allowed us to gain experience and it helped us so we could use this software in editing our own short film.

AUDIENCE FEEDBACK

Class Feedback

Today we presented our work to the class

these are the points we took
  • They liked the idea of our film and said that it will work
  • Our opening scene was long they said it would be a good idea to change it so it could fit in the 5 minute time limit
  • budget problems because we need to buy equipment for the film
  • They said it would be good to have music
  • We would need to add special effects such as gunshots
  • Reduce the number of actors

Today me and my partner Emre Atli decided on our scenes.
the opening scene is going to be shot in a warhouse/basement where someone has been kept as a hostage. We will be using alot of special effects such as fake blood and posthetic make up to make the scene more believable, we will be getting these from ebay. in our next scene the character thats being held hostage will be escaping from the basement with the help of friends. There will be motorbikes and cars involved in this scene with wide range of shots.
